Our Pastor

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Jeremiah 3:15

Rev. Christopher Anderson, Sr.

Rev. Christopher Anderson, Sr., a native of Collinston, LA, is the son of Verdell Anderson of Bastrop and Tommy Mays of Mer Rouge. He received his formal educaton while attending Collinston Elementary and Delta High School. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Collinston. Chris was a very active member of the youth department. He often reflects back to those expereiences that laid a spiritual foundation in his life.  His yearning to live for Christ and his grandmother's prayers have helped mold him into the person he is today.

In 1995, Rev. Anderson accepted the call of God upon his life and was licensed as a gospel minister.  To further develop his ministry, in 2003, he united with the New Second Missionary Baptist Church in Bastrop.

On November 27, 2004, Rev. Anderson pledged his eternal love to his wife, Corita.  Within their union, they are the proud parents of four children.

In April of 2009, Rev. Anderson was elected to serve as pastor of the Evergreen #2 Missionary Baptist Church. During his time there, he preached the uncompromising gospel of Jesus Christ, and souls were added to the church. When he felt that the mission God wanted him to accomplish there had been fulfilled, he resigned as pastor in May of 2014.

In December of 2013, Rev. Anderson was elected to serve as pastor of the St. TImothy Missionary Baptist Church.  Pastor Anderson is truly dedicated to meeting the needs of the congregation.  He displays love to everyone that enters the doors.  Under his leadership, our church has grown spiritually.  We believe, by faith, that the best is yet to come!
